Business School Strengthens Tutorial Team Ahead of New Academic Year

17 August 2010

Seven months after it was officially opened, the Jersey International Business School has strengthened its tutorial team with the appointment of a specialist lecturer.

In order to help deliver an expanding range of courses, the School has announced the appointment of highly regarded trainer Natalie Dimond (née Winslow), who will join the team at the School in September.

Returning to Jersey after spending nine years at Reed Business School in the UK, where she was responsible for running an extensive range of financial services and management courses, Natalie will deliver courses and bespoke in-house training for the offshore finance industry, focusing on accounting and tax, as well as covering investments, risk management and governance.

Having started her career working in trust and company administration in Jersey, Natalie qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 before moving into teaching. She has delivered training on all aspects of accounting and tax for ACCA, ICSA and the IAC programmes and given in-house training, consistently achieving impressive pass rates above the national average.

Married and with two children, Natalie enjoys horse riding and spending time with her family.

Sally Gallichan, Learning Solutions Manager at the Jersey International Business School, said:

“It is fantastic that, in order to help deliver our expanding range of specialist courses, we are able to welcome Natalie to the team. She has a formidable reputation for achieving excellent results and her expertise will be a huge asset to the School. In particular, Natalie is a specialist on the FSA’s recently published Retail Distribution Review, which sets out a range of standards and criteria that financial advisers need to satisfy from now on. Her knowledge in this area will undoubtedly be hugely valuable for those studying at the School.”

Ends.
