Jersey Director Awarded Prestigious Chartered Status

Brian James has become the latest local finance professional to be awarded the highest level of qualification achievable for Directors by the Institute of Directors.

Brian, a Director of Jersey-based Lloyds TSB Offshore Fund Managers Limited, achieved Chartered Director status after successfully completing the Diploma in Company Direction, becoming the first person to do so through local training agency Forward.

In order to become a Chartered Director, as well as successfully undertaking the IoD qualification, Brian was required to submit a portfolio providing evidence of substantial experience and involvement across a number of key activities that are central to company direction and sound governance. A rigorous and formal assessment by the IoD tests whether applicants successfully combine the qualities of drive, leadership and influence across these key activities.
