About CISI

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK, as well as in a growing number of major financial centres round the world. Formed in 1992 by the London Stock Exchange practitioners, it now has more than 40,000 members in 89 countries.

Regulatory approval

The CISI is recognised as an Awarding Body by the UK Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator. Many of the CISI’s qualifications are mandated by different regulators around the world, so both individuals and firms can be confident that the CISI’s processes, policies and systems meet rigorous quality assurance standards.
