Emma is a Senior Lecturer with Forward and joined the company in April 2008. With over ten years experience of working with Employee Benefit Trusts and share plans, Emma focuses primarily on providing EBT training for all levels of finance sector professionals.
Emma joined Forward from HBOS Employee Equity Solutions, where she was a Training Consultant with responsibility for the design and delivery of technical training for new and existing employees. Prior to this she worked in a number of roles at Mourant Employee Compensation Solutions including that of a Senior Account Manager.
Educated in the UK, Emma also holds the professional qualification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Natalie has delivered training on all aspects of accounting and tax for ACCA, ICSA and the IAC programmes and progressed to delivering bespoke in-house training for clients. Over the last three years Natlaie has built up a Finance division at Reeds Business School which is leading the way in the provision of training in response to the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) regulations.
Natalie delivers bespoke in-house training for JIBS clients on accounting, tax, investments, risk management and governance.
Janice has been a part time tutor at Highlands College and then Jersey Business School for over 20 years during which time she has taught a number of subjects but has specialised in teaching book keeping and accounts for a number of professional bodies including IAB, CAT and AAT.
She has been teaching all levels of the IAB for over 10 years and was involved in developing these courses when they were first offered as evening classes in Jersey.
She has been working in the finance industry for 30 years during which time she has been involved in all aspects of fund administration and accounting before moving into regulation and compliance. She currently works for a local trust company where she is head of compliance.
Jo French is the Director of Education at Forward.
Jo has worked in offshore financial services since 1988 and in 1991 qualified as a Chartered Secretary. In 1999 Jo joined BPP Professional Education as a senior lecturer and ICSA Programme manager where her students won many of the international prizes.
In recognition of her work in developing the ICSA Certificate and Diploma in Offshore Administration she was made a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in 2002.
A committed educationalist, Jo obtained a First Class Law Degree in 2005 (LLB), facilitated through the Open University. She also achieved a certificate in post graduate studies through the University of London LLM programme. Jo is currently undertaking independent research in support of a PHD. She is passionate about the delivery of accessible and innovative training courses.
David has been involved in the financial markets for over 27 years, with particular focus on the operations, administration and settlement of securities and derivatives.
He has considerable senior management experience and was Director of SG Warburg Securities Ltd, Operations Director of Warburg Futures and Options Ltd and Director Exchange Traded Derivatives at SBC.
David is now an experienced trainer specialising on topics such as Operational Risk, Clearing & Settlement, Custody, Fund Administration, Derivatives Operations, Corporate Actions and Securities Lending.
David has worked with a diverse range of clients in the United Kingdom as well as internationally in places such as Singapore, Malaysia, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Monaco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Dubai, Bermuda, Switzerland, The United States of America, India, Australia, Iceland, Luxembourg, Mauritius and The Republic of Ireland.
He is also a successful author having some twelve titles published by Wiley and Elsevier as well as The Securities Institute.
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 with Arthur Andersen, Ed has been involved in a variety of litigation support, proceeds of crime and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
Ed is regularly engaged by the authorities to assist with the restraint and realisation of assets held under criminal actions. He has also carried out a number of reporting accountant assignments on fiduciary services providers and has been engaged on Commission visit programmes.
Ed facilitates training workshops in various jurisdictions, including those forming part of Forward’s Financial Crime Crime Prevention and Compliance and Risk Management Programmes.
Following a spell as an Officer in the Royal Navy, at just 27 years old, he led a team of amateur sailors around the world over 10 months whilst competing in the only yacht race to circumnavigate against prevailing winds and currents (BT Global Challenge). On completing the BT Global Challenge in 2001 Will capitalised on his practical experiences and began designing and delivering leadership and team development programmes.
He is valued for bringing colour to the theory by drawing on the many experiences he has gained leading and working with teams in both business and sport.
