Real Estate conference to provide comprehensive perspective of the market
Jersey International Business School are delighted to launch their Real Estate & Real Estate Funds Conference, which will be held on Wednesday 14 December 2016 at the Hotel de France.
This conference will enable delegates to understand the key global economic and geopolitical issues facing real estate investment professionals, both now and in the future. Covering a broad range of areas such as market dynamics, foreign investment, legal considerations and the implications of Brexit, the real estate conference will provide a comprehensive perspective of the market.
Speakers from local industry as well as global private wealth management leaders will examine a host of issues, including the evolving investment environment, central bank policy implications, and wider macro-economic considerations for the investment and private wealth management industry.
The keynote speaker is Zena Couppey, head of real estate at Sanne. Zena heads Sanne’s real estate business and has over 15 years’ experience in the offshore financial services industry having worked in Geneva, Dubai and Jersey administering a wide variety of offshore real estate structures including limited partnership, corporate structures, private unit trusts and expert funds.
She is responsible for the services and product offering of real estate, specialising in transaction management and the operation of multi-jurisdictional structures.
Zena holds a variety of board positions for both regulated and unregulated funds and corporate vehicles investing into real estate globally and is a member of the International Property Federation (IPF).
Delegates can also expect a fascinating presentation on ‘Real estate as an asset class’ delivered by Mike Byrne (Keynote Speaker), partner & asset management leader at PwC Channel Islands and chair of the Jersey Funds Association.

- Fiona Le Poidevin, chief executive officer of the Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE), who will be presenting on ‘How real estate listing structures are evolving’
- Simon B. Kristiansen, senior analyst at CBRE Global Investors in the UK, who will be speaking about ‘Implications of economic and geopolitical instability on the European real estate market’
The conference will also comprise three panel discussion, covering topics such as what Brexit means for the UK real estate market, how the Channel Islands can succeed in real estate structuring and the link between strong corporate governance and reputation.
